Amber Adams is a Makeup and Prosthetic Artist, Hairstylist and Workshop Technician based in Sydney, Australia. She has worked extensively both in Australia and internationally through the fields of film, television, fashion, theatre, commercial and events for 15 years.
Having always been highly artistic, Amber knew from an early age that she would pursue a creative path. Following a start in Fine Arts with strong realism skills in both drawing and painting, Amber went on to study Hair, Makeup and Prosthetics. Honing her craft, she’s become a successful and sought after artist. Her skillset is both artistic and technical. It includes designing, creating and applying makeup and prosthetics, practical effects, mold making, painting and sculpting.
In 2023, Amber was featured in Vogue as one of Australia’s cutting-edge makeup artists and was recognised as one of Inside Film’s ‘Rising Talents’ in 2025. She was also nominated for ‘Best Hair & Makeup’ at the AACTA Awards in 2026 for her Hair, Makeup & Prosthetics Design on It Will Find You. Her recent screen credits include Mortal Kombat II, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Voltron, Insidious: Out of the Further and Evil Dead Burn. Alongside film work, she has taught short courses in Prosthetics at NIDA and worked as a Wig Technician for Opera Australia.
